Working with retailers
Water Safety Scotland (WSS) is keen to highlight aspects of safety in-store and at Point of Sale with retailers selling recreational equipment for use in or on water.
We want both experienced and more casual users to be exposed to safety advice so they make wise choices and purchase additional equipment they may require to enable them to undertake their chosen activity in the safest manner. We are therefore grateful to be working with Tiso to raise awareness of water safety in-store and with Lomo to raise awareness at Point of Sale, for in-store and online purchases.

Competition Reports
Over 2023, we had the opportunity to run a competition in conjunction with Lomo, whereby those purchasing water sports equipment have been invited to share insight into their purchases and their knowledge of water safety, by following a QR code and answering a few questions about their level of experience and awareness of WSS and the water safety code.
The competition has been extended for 2024.
